Treaty Three Police Service Execute CDSA Search Warrant in Wabaseemoong

(KENORA) – The Treaty Three Police Service (T3PS) executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) in Wabaseemoong on the evening of August 1, 2024, resulting in a significant seizure of illegal drugs and cash.

During the operation, T3PS officers seized approximately $120,000.00 in illegal substances and Canadian currency. The seizure included:

  • 233 grams of Methamphetamine
  • 297 grams of Cocaine
  • 11 grams of Crack Cocaine
  • 18 grams of Fentanyl
  • 134 Morphine tablets
  • 101 Oxycodone tablets

A 41-year-old female was arrested in connection with this investigation. She is facing multiple charges, including five counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and Possession of a Prohibited Weapon. The accused has been held in custody pending a court appearance.

This operation is part of T3PS’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the communities we serve. We recognize the severe impact that illegal drugs have on our communities and are dedicated to taking action against those who threaten the safety of our citizens.

T3PS will continue to work in close collaboration with our community partners to address the challenges posed by the illegal drug trade and to support those affected by substance abuse.

Treaty Three Police Service is a self-administered Policing entity under the First Nations Policing Program in Canada and is responsible for full policing duties in 23 First Nation Communities in the Treaty #3 territory.
